Winter arrived early this past week, but keep those warmer thoughts coming as it may warm up again. It is time to think about shutting off your outside water faucet and moving hoses into warmer places to prevent freezing.
Many thanks to Karen Zack and all volunteers for the fabulous Veterans Day celebration this past Tuesday. Our guests were treated to lunch from Chick Fil A and everyone enjoyed our guest speaker from Donut Dollies.
You all should have received the first mailing from York with instructions and information for the Annual meeting that will be held via Zoom on December 8 at 10 AM. The second mailing, complete with the nominations for two Board seats, budget vote, and ballots will be sent from York on November 14. Please follow the directions for submitting your ballot December 3 or 4, and owner verification form complete with your signature across the back of the envelope. The ballots will be counted on December 6 with results announced during the Annual meeting. Any question you may have can be submitted to the Board no later than November 15.
All committees are busy with end of the year projects and preparing for 2026. Two big events have been planned by the social team. Our Annual Holiday party will be held at Campbell Lodge on December 13 at 12:45 PM. Guests are invited with the cost per person of $35.00. Checks can be made payable to and delivered to Donna Turnage (1647 Wren Wren). The date for our Annual Luminaries remembrance is being finalized and the date will be posted once completed. (

The Landscape team is finishing the year with an expedited tree removal. Weekly mowing is completed for 2025, with spot mowing and continued leaf removal being ongoing. When tree removal for 2026 is finalized, residents will be notified as to the date their trees will be taken down. Two extra rounds of fertilizer have been completed for all new plantings that were done in 2025 and the final turf treatment has also been completed. The Clubhouse irrigation system has been updated and will be winterized soon.
The Clubhouse committee will be decorating on November 29. The holiday lighting has been completed on the outside of the Clubhouse and one holly tree, with the lights shining brightly beginning the evening of November 27 and ending on January 1. Facilities and the Clubhouse committee will work together to try to have the original Pasture Walk entrance more brightly lit as the fencing will feature garlands. The facilities team has been busy with a few roofing and siding leaks which have been repaired. We are working with our maintenance team to look for common areas that could become issues and be more proactive to prevent future damages.
Once again, the Villas will be supporting the Boys and Girls Club with our Angel tree. More information will be posted once the details are completed. Also, if interested, our Fire Station will be a collection spot for the Marine Corps Toys for Tots. Donations can be left at the station at any time. If you prefer to donate money instead of gifts for either of these causes, that would be appreciated also.
Until next time…..
(Becky Tucci, COA Board)
