Hurricane Micheal Updates
Posted on Oct 11th, 2018

Good Morning Villas,

……This is from the Town of Wake Forest website this morning:
The Town of Wake Forest continues to monitor Hurricane Michael.
  • Forecasters say the Triangle could receive anywhere from 3-6 inches of rain, which could cause flash flooding. Additionally, wind gusts could range between 30 and 60 mph, toppling trees and power lines. A flash flood watch continues through Thursday for the Triangle.
  • In anticipation of Hurricane Michael, a North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) public meeting scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 11, at the Wake Forest Renaissance Centre has been postponed and will be rescheduled for a later date.
  • Wake Forest residents are urged to bring in rollout garbage and recycling carts and other light-weight items no later than Thursday morning to ensure that those items do not become unintended and harmful projectiles. (this obviously is for the Thursday trash pickup)
*************************************************************************************
I would urge you all to keep your trash can and recycle secure until this evening. Perhaps only putting the trash can out after dark when the wind drops down and keep your recycle secured until tomorrow morning if that is possible. Some road flooding could occur so be aware outside of the community thru Friday.
This looks to be a very short, quick, redo of Florence for our community from a wind and rain standpoint, please be careful if you venture out.
