Landscaping Rules & Regs - Reminders
Posted on Oct 15th, 2018
Many of you are transitioning over from summer flowers to fall flowers. Please refer to the Rules and Regulations for the full details. Here are a few highlights:
- Annuals and perennials should be planted in the limited common mulched area only (or inside patio/courtyard)
- Rules/Regulations - 2.3.3 -no more than 5 pots or hanging plants not to exceed 18” in diameter and 24” tall. Maximum of 3 on sidewalks/ concrete pad. These should not be placed in junipers or shrubs.
* Rules/Regulations - 3. Flowers/Landscape Plants: Please read and be very familiar with this. I have noted a few:
- 3.1 - no artificial flowers or plants allowed
- 3.2 - Landscape Plants outside patio area must have prior written approval of Board of Directors. Nor may any trees or shrubs be planted, transplanted or removed without prior written approval of the Board. Variance request forms are available from the Board or Property manager. (it is also online)
Request forms pertain to any shrubs or trees, not annuals or perennials.
Your Landscape Committee has been meeting and discussing ways to reduce the costs of maintaining the shrubs here in the community. Some of the shrubs are diseased and a majority of the older roses are diseased as well. We are working on a list of preferred shrubs and/or ornamental grasses that are maintenance free and disease resistance. An approved list will be provided soon. This list will be a guide for you to use to seek approval for changes in a shrub or tree. DO NOT USE ANY OTHER LIST YOU MAY HAVE OR THAT IS ON THE WEB SITE. It is recommended you get approval before buying.
Thank you for your continued patience with us as we try to meet your landscaping expectations in the future. If you have any questions, please email me.
