Please check for storm damage
Posted on Oct 2nd, 2022
Good afternoon Villas residents,
The hurricane / tropical storm has passed, except for a couple passing showers. This would be a good time for everyone to take a look at their roofs for missing shingles and a general look-about your unit. The wind did do some damage within our community, there were shingles found on the ground, at least one shutter torn off and some siding reported to have been separated. In addition, there were a couple of trees around Winter Wren that had been split or toppled. All of these observations should be filed / documented as Work Orders for action by York Properties.
In the event that the wind driven rain caused roof leakage or window leakage, this should also be filed as a Work Order. The COA will cover the exterior repairs, but the owner is responsible for interior damage. The sooner that leakage is reported and repaired this will minimize your personal expense.
If you have any questions or concerns, please share them with a member of the Villas Board; or Marlene Barnes for landscape issues; or Al Zack for damage to your unit.
Thanks for your prompt action to get issues properly documented for repair.
Best regards,
Norm Bell, on behalf of The Villas Board of Directors
