Villas Blog #39

Shorts? Jeans? Sweatshirt? Hat and Gloves? We had it all!!! Is the best yet to come? We never know!!
The pool chairs and loungers have been returned and the new webbing is beautiful! Due to lack of storage space, they will remain on the pool deck. They will not be covered as it has been found out that in the past when the old chairs were covered it became a great breeding ground for mold. Stop by on your next outing near the pool and see how great they look.
It has been reported that there seems to be dog waste around the villas that has not been properly cleaned up. We hope all of our resident dogs are being cared for properly, and we have seen many of our visiting dogs being cared for also. If you happen to notice someone not being responsible, please ask them to do so and point out where the waste stations are located (Blue Bird and Ligon Mill entrance, Clubhouse parking lot, Pasture Walk entrance).
Many of our residents may already be planning on how they will beautify their mulch area for 2022 and are busy taking out old plants, and perhaps some shrubs. Please call 811 prior to your digging, because if any water, gas, or drain lines are damaged the resident will be responsible. If you are planning on any large transformations, please remember to submit a Landscape request to Marlene Barnes. Also, please only place yard waste bags by the street after 4:30 PM on Wednesdays and prior to 9:00 AM on Thursdays.
It is that time of year that you should check your paper box often as it is used to deliver Holiday cards and maybe small gifts from residents to neighbors and friends. Also, check as your birthday comes around…. you never know what you will find!!
We are hopeful that all of our residents will continue to be vigilant as the new variant of Covid seems to be spreading across the country. The Board is monitoring Local, State, and Federal guidelines and is hopeful we will continue to stay as safe as we have been since March of 2020.
All Board minutes are posted on the York Properties website. You can access that site through the Villas Social site,
www.VillasofWakeForest COA.com. You will find a link on the Villas page for the York Property page. Both web pages have an abundance of information, and we hope everyone uses them frequently.
The Board would like to thank Kathee Bailey, the Social Committee and the Facilities Team, for once again hosting residents at the Memorial Luminaries. As usual, the evening was wonderful and the entertainment was great. A lot of planning and hard work goes into all of our events, and we all are very appreciative of this effort.
Here is to a peaceful, safe, and loving Holiday Season for all…and our dreams of a safe and healthy 2022.
