Villas of Wake Forest

If interested, a social gathering will be held on Super Bowl Sunday, combining food and fun. Think of it as a “Friday at 5” but on Sunday instead. Bring your favorite beverage and a snack to enjoy - maybe enough to share with a few others.

Initially, lottery squares (a grid of 100 squares) will be sold for $1 each. No football knowledge required - it’s all random. Prizes $$ will be given for the winning squares. If there is enough interest, a second lottery grid will be started.

Lottery Winners

GRID #1 PRIZE MONEY: $100

There are NO drawings for the second half of the Super Bowl.

All prizes will be awarded by the end of the first half.

NOTE:

Status of Grid #1 and #2: all squares are sold.

As all squares are sold, there will be TWO prize winners for EVERY score or random drawing.

There is $200 total prize money.
There will be $20 prize for each score.

5 game scores x 2 grids x $20 per prize = $200

Once all the prize money is gone, that’s it.

Even if the first half of the game is not over.

There will be no random draws if all the prize money is consumed via game scores.

If there are less than 5 scores in the entire first half of the game, then random drawings will be done to distribute the remaining prize money.

Lottery Timeline

RESIDENTS VOTED BY SURVEY:

There is strong interest in having a Super Bowl lottery.
There was less interest in having a Clubhouse gathering.

So NO Clubhouse gathering is planned the day of the Super Bowl.

INITIALLY:

Square sales - 5 squares MAX per person initially

LATER:

If all 100 squares on the first grid are sold and there is interest, a second grid of 100 squares will be started. Each person can then buy more squares if desired.

The money from ALL square sales will be combined and then divided into equal prizes. So it does not matter which grid your squares are on.

Sunday 8th - Game Day

1:00 pm - DEADLINE - all prize money collected and squares selected
3:00 pm - random drawing for grid score positions, teams

6:30 pm - Super Bowl kickoff

You must have selected and paid for ALL lottery squares by 1pm Sunday 8th.

NOTE: If all squares are sold AND paid for before Sunday, the random drawings for grid score positions and team positions (top of table grid or left side of table grid) may be done early. Doing so allows the lottery grid squares and details to be distributed to the participants early.

To help you, notice the lottery grid squares are labelled:

+ Grid #1: a0 to j9

+ Grid #2: k0 to t9 (if used)

If you wish, I will randomly select the squares for you.

If you prefer to select the lottery squares yourself, just send me an email or phone text message with your selected squares or put the choices on a slip of paper when you pay me.

ALL prizes will be awarded on or before halftime of the game.

Lottery Rules - 2027

An initial grid of 10 x 10 squares will be prepared for the lottery / drawings for the game scores.
Squares cost a $1 each. Initially, you can buy 5 squares maximum per person. You can buy less than the maximum.
If all squares are sold for the first grid, a second 10x10 lottery grid will be started if requested. A person can then buy additional squares if interested.
The collected money will be divided into prizes - probably 8-10 prizes - depending on the amount of money collected.
If possible, each prize will be worth the same amount of money.
Prizes will be given out for EVERY score until ALL the prize money is distributed. If it is a high scoring game, all of the prize money could be completely distributed early - even before halftime.
If there is a second grid, the SAME random numbers for the table rows and columns for game scores will be used for BOTH grids.
IF THERE ARE TWO GRIDS USED, it is possible to have two winners for a single game score or random drawing.
If the game score leads to winning squares on BOTH GRIDS, two prizes of equal money will be given to the winners.
If a game score leads to winning squares on BOTH GRIDS but there is only one prize left, that prize will be divided equally between the winners.

THE FOLLOWING RULES BELOW ONLY APPLY IF THERE IS A CLUBHOUSE GATHERING AND EVERYTHING WRAPS UP AT THE END OF THE FIRST HALF OF THE FOOTBALL GAME.
If no team scores in the FIRST QUARTER of the game, the game score will be 0-0 and whoever has that “score” square wins that score square.
If necessary due to low number of game scores, random drawings will be done at the end of the first quarter to distribute half the prize money.
If no team scores in the SECOND QUARTER of the game, no prize for that score will be given as that is a duplicate of the FIRST QUARTER SCORE.
If necessary due to low game scores, random drawings will be done at the end of the second quarter to distribute the remainder of the prize money.
If a random drawing has winning squares on BOTH GRIDS, two prizes of equal money will be given to the winners.
Winners of the “game score squares” prizes are NOT eligible for the random drawing prizes. If a “game score square” is drawn for a random prize drawing, that drawing result will be discarded and the drawing repeated. This is being done to maximize the number of winners.
You do not have to be present at the Clubhouse to win. If there is a social gathering for the game, all lottery / drawings will be held at the Clubhouse before or during the football game.
All prizes and drawings will be for only the FIRST and SECOND QUARTERS of the Super Bowl.
There will be NO drawings or prizes for the SECOND half of the game.

THE FOLLOWING RULES BELOW APPLY IF THERE IS NO CLUBHOUSE GATHERING - as such, there is no finish time constraint.
All lottery prizes will distributed based on game score squares for the ENTIRE GAME.
There will be no random drawings unless the ENTIRE game is completed and there is prize money that still remains to be distributed.
It is quite likely that all prize money will be distributed BEFORE the game is over. When the money is gone, it’s gone.
The same single digit score could occur again during the length of the entire game. If it occurs, those lucky persons with those score squares will receive duplicate prize money. EXAMPLE: Super Bowl 60 had game scores of 9-0 and 19-0 by the same team.

Random Numbers

Using the website "NumberGenerator.org" and “Random.org”, multiple lists of random numbers 0-9 were generated. The "GO" button on the site was pressed very quickly, arbitrarily, and numerously multiple times.

Each generated list was copied and saved.

Then, one list will be chosen arbitrarily as the column header numbers.

Another list will be chosen arbitrarily for the row header numbers.

if random drawings are done, another list with the chosen.

Feb 5th:

I asked helping picking the which random list to use.

You are welcome to pay for and select your lottery squares in advance of the football game.

You do NOT have to attend the gathering to play/win.

If all squares on the first grid are sold and there is interest, a second grid will be started. Each person can then buy more squares if desired.

The money from ALL square sales will be combined and then divided into equal prizes. So it does not matter which grid your squares are on.

To help you, notice the lottery grid squares are labelled:
+ Grid #1: a0 to j9
+ Grid #2: k0 to t9 (if used)

If you wish, I will randomly select the squares for you.

If you prefer to select the lottery squares yourself, just send me an email or phone text message with your selected squares or put the choices on a slip of paper when you pay me.

ALL prizes will be awarded on or before halftime of the game.
