Villas of Wake Forest

A social gathering will be held on Super Bowl Sunday, combining food and fun. Think of it as a “Friday at 5” but on Sunday instead. Bring your favorite beverage and a snack to enjoy - maybe enough to share with a few others.

This year, we will hold a Super Bowl lottery without the social gathering.

ALL LOTTERY SQUARES HAVE BEEN SOLD.

Lottery Winners

TOTAL PRIZE MONEY: $100

There are NO drawings for the second half of the Super Bowl.

All prizes will be awarded by the end of the first half.

NOTE:

Right now Grid #1 is full - $100 prize money.

So far, no one has requested to start Grid #2.

After reviewing the scores of the past 5-6 games, both teams scored 5-6 times total in the first half.

So I plan to tweak the prize money rule a bit if we have $100 total prize money. Here is my plan for prizes:

First prize: 1 x $10 = $10
Six prizes: 6 x $15 = $90

With 7 prizes total. I plan to use random drawings for squares if needed so that at least the first 4 prizes are awarded by the end of the 1st quarter. If necessary to distribute the remaining prize money, random drawings will be used again in the 2nd quarter of the game.

And again - prizes may be fully distributed before the first half finishes if the two teams score enough times.

~~Now until end of Thursday 6th: Square sales - 5 squares MAX per person initially~~

~~Friday the 7th until Sunday 9th 3:00 pm - sale of remaining squares to anyone~~

~~Sunday 9th~~

~~3:00 pm - DEADLINE - all prize money collected and squares selected~~
~~4:00 pm - random drawing for grid score positions, teams~~

~~6:30 pm - Super Bowl kickoff~~

~~You must have selected and paid for ALL lottery squares by 3pm Sunday 9th.~~

Lottery Rules - 2025

An initial grid of 10 x 10 squares will be prepared for the lottery / drawings for the game scores.
Squares cost a $1 each. For the initial round, you can buy 5 squares maximum. You can buy less than the maximum.
The collected money will be divided into an equal number of prizes, probably 8-10 prizes - depending on the amount of money collected.
~~Each prize will be worth the same amount of money.~~ TWEAKED - see above section.
If more than 100 squares are sold, a second 10x10 grid can be started if requested.
Sold winning squares in the second grid will get the same amount of prize money as the first grid.
If there is a second grid, the SAME random numbers for rows and columns will be used for BOTH grids. This means it is possible to have two winners for a single score or random drawing.
Prizes will be given out for EVERY score until ALL the prize money is distributed. If it is a high scoring game, all of the prize money could be completely distributed early - even before halftime.
If necessary due to low number of scores, random drawings will be done at the end of the first quarter to distribute half the prize money.
Again, if necessary due to low scores, random drawings will be done at halftime to distribute the remainder of the prize money.
Winners of the “score squares” prizes are not eligible for the random drawing prizes for THAT quarter. If a “score square” is drawn during a random drawing, that drawing result will be discarded and the drawing repeated. This is being done to maximize the number of winners.
If no team scores in the FIRST quarter, the score will be 0-0 at that quarter’s end, and whoever has that square wins the prize.
If no team scores in the SECOND quarter, the score will be the same as at the end of the first quarter, and whoever has that “score” square wins the prize.
if there are two winners for the final prize and there is only one final prize, that prize will be split in half and shared.
Winners will be notified by email as the game proceeds. The lottery / drawings will be held at the Clubhouse during the football game, but you do not have to present to win.
All prizes and drawings will be for only the FIRST and SECOND QUARTERS of the Super Bowl. There will be no drawings or prizes for the SECOND half of the game.
