We had an issue with a building's sewer drain line last week and I felt it best to address this with the entire community.

The sewer lines leading away from each unit in this building have a clean out for blockages and those lines lead to a larger sewer line - which in turn drains into the street main sewer line.

The reason I am telling you this is because we had a blockage that occurred in this larger sewer line but before the main line in the street.

This means it is the responsibility of the Villas COA to pay for the removal of the blockage.

We called a plumbing service and discovered that one of the main causes of this blockage was usage of wipes.

Please DO NOT flush any type of wipe down your toilet.  Even if the package says “FLUSHABLE” they still will clog up the sewer drain.

If you have any questions about this don’t hesitate to call any board member to discuss.

This repair cost the Villas over $1600 to clear for this one building.
