We welcome the cooler weather and the small amount of rain as every little bit helps!!  Let's keep the cool weather as we love wearing our sweaters!

The Board had a very informative meeting with our Chairs of the committees. All committees have submitted budget requests and have informed the Board of all Fall projects as we wind down to the end of the year.  Hard to believe this year is almost over!

Once again we will celebrate the Holiday season with our Annual gathering at Campbell Lodge.  More information will be posted as the date approaches.

Landscaping has finished the Spring projects that were delayed due to extreme heat and the water restrictions.  The Fall projects will begin in the near future.

The Clubhouse has chosen the new chairs to replace the older upholstered chairs,  These chairs are much safer and easy to maneuver.  Details concerning the colors will follow.

Facilities was pleased to announce all of the Hardy Board homes have been painted, and new roofs will now be done according to need.

The Elections committee is ready for their first mailing concerning elections of three new Board members and details to show how to complete the process of voting.

Mark your calendars for the next Community meeting to be held in the Clubhouse on October 12 at 1PM.  The Board and several committee chairs will be presenting information, and our master Insurance policy representative will be present to answer questions.

We also thank the Social committee for another wonderful evening of Pizza to welcome our new residents.

Many thanks to the VFW for providing a fun evening and great food last Friday.  Thanks to all who were so generous with donations to assist this worthy cause.

As the clocks will change soon please take that opportunity to replace your smoke alarm batteries.  If you are interested in not having to change batteries each year, you can contact the Smoke Alert Company (919 264 4033).   This is a company created by off duty Firemen.  They can install the newest smoke detectors that have a 10 year battery life, and they can also clean dryer vents.  You can purchase the detectors directly from them or from Lowes or Home Depot.  The Firemen are the only people we know that should be climbing ladders to reach the smoke detectors!!

Random Acts of Kindness go to all of the ladies who signed up to assist the committees.  The sign up sheets will also be available at the Community meeting for anyone who has had time to think about joining any of our various committees., and to the men who help set up and take down chairs and tables for our outdoor events.  Also, Barney Ford who has been assisting our Treasurer and the Board with some good advice and ideas for the upcoming Budget.

Until next time…
