Bob Turnage will provide a BRIEF demo on:
— How to create a Villas social website shortcut icon for your smartphone
It only takes a few minutes / 5-6 steps to create the icon. Then you are just a click away to find out the community calendar events, news, or upcoming events for the neighborhood.
Steps for Android phones:
- Start Chrome web browser. (It must be Chrome for Androids.)
- Enter the social website address - be sure the address is without “…COA”. And select GO.
- Look for and click the 3 vertical dots in the upper right corner of screen.
- Scroll through choices and select menu item - Add to Home Screen.
- Suggested but not required - edit the shortcut name to just “Villas”. Select Done or Add.
An icon should appear on phone screen that now a direct link to the social website. No typing required to use it.
Steps for Apple iPhone or iPad has 2 differences (1 and 3):
- Start the Safari web browser. It must be Safari for Apple.
- Enter the social website address - be sure the address is without “…COA”. And select GO.
- Look for and select the icon that is a rectangle with arrow out the top.
- Scroll through choices and select menu item - Add to Home Screen.
- Suggested but not required - edit the shortcut name to just “Villas”. Select Done or Add.
