We are organizing an Out-To-Dinner weeknight group that will dine locally on the second Thursdays of the month at 5:30 p.m. We are looking forward to this becoming a regular monthly calendar event.    

 

The maximum number of attendees will be determined by each individual restaurant's space and limitations. If you are a couple, please sign your names individually.  Once we reach the space limit, we are unable to add more this month.

 

A sign-up sheet will be posted on the Clubhouse bulletin board. The headcount will “closed” about 1 week before the dining event.

Sean Connery, the first actor to play 007. While this is not Connery’s first Bond film, we have watched the first 3 already - Dr No, From Russia With Love, and Goldfinger.

 

Connery did 5 Bond films in a row, ending in 1967. Then, he did Diamonds Are Forver in 1971 for $1.25m. After a 12 year break, he did his final Bond - Never Say Never Again - for $3m. Sean Connery and Roger Moore are tied at 7 for the number of Bond films.

George Lazenby, Australian, was the 2nd of 6 actors to play Bond. Born in 1939, he was 30 when he made this Bond movie. Prior to this movie, he modeled clothes, did commercials, and sold cars.

 

He only did one film. He was offered the role for another Bond movie but his agent convinced him the Bond character was a passing fad with little future. Many years later, he recanted and tried to negotiate acting in another 007 film but never was successful.

 

Archibald Alexander Leech was one of the first actors asked to be James Bond. At the time, he was approximately 50 and they wanted him to commit to doing 5 movies. He said he would only commit to one. So they kept searching. What was his stage name?
